Green Mountain Energy plans
Green Mountain Energy offers many plans that fit different household budgeting goals. Examples of those plans include:
- Go Local™ Solar 12 Preferred: This 12-month plan provides power sourced from 100 percent solar energy. With a $0 base charge, Go Local Solar 12 Preferred is perfect for customers of all usage levels who are looking for a green energy plan. There are no bill credits for using a certain amount of energy, so we equally recommend this plan for those living in apartments and those living in large houses.
- Pollution Free™ e-Plus 24 Preferred: With this 24-month plan, your home is powered by 100% wind energy. At least 51% of wind energy generated for this plan is sourced within Texas, while the remainder is sourced from U.S. wind farms in other states. This is a fixed rate plan, so the supply rate you pay will remain the same for the duration of your contract. There is no base charge for the Pollution Free™ e-Plus 24 Preferred plan, making this Green Mountain plan suitable for customers of any usage level.
All Green Mountain Energy plans have an early termination fee — $150 for 12-month plans and $200 for 24-month plans. This fee does not apply to customers who move, as long as a forwarding address is provided to verify the move. Green Mountain Energy also offers a Renewable Rewards program where you receive credit for excess energy produced by your solar system.
