About Rhythm

Rhythm was founded in 2020 with the goal of bringing positive change to the energy industry. The founders felt like the current market wasn’t really serving the consumer, and they wanted to change that. The company offers 100 percent renewable energy plans powered by wind. They offer consumer-friendly energy plans with no hidden fees and a 90-day trial period.

To compare Rhythm plans with other providers in your area, enter your ZIP code above and see a list of plans and rates available near you.

Rhythm energy plans

Like many other energy providers, Rhythm offers a variety of plans to customers in Texas. Rhythm’s energy plans are all powered by 100 percent renewable energy generated from wind. Plans vary based on length, with contracts ranging from 12-36 months.

Rhythm main energy services

Rhythm for residential customers

Rhythm focuses on offering affordable and high-quality energy plans to residential customers in Texas. Residential plans come with fixed rates and a 90-day trial period.

Rhythm for business customers

Rhythm does not currently market its services to business customers. However, Rhythm recently acquired another energy company, Entrust Energy Inc, which served roughly 10,000 small and medium commercial customers. Rhythm has promised to honor existing contracts for all customers, including commercial customers.

Green energy options with Rhythm

All three of Rhythm’s energy plans are powered by 100 percent renewable energy generated by Texas wind. All of the company’s energy is sourced from Texas power generators, meaning customers’ dollars go back into the Texas economy to support local businesses.

Other Rhythm initiatives

Founded in 2020, Rhythm has been around just a short time. Right now, the company is focused entirely on its residential energy plans and doesn’t offer any additional products or services.

Community investment

Rhythm invests in its community by supporting renewable energy with the goal of creating healthy air and water for the neighborhoods where it operates. When customers sign up for their plan, the company matches each unit of energy by purchasing Renewable Energy Credits (RECs). These RECs help invest in renewable energy production and increase the amount of renewable energy statewide.

Rhythm service areas

Rhythm offers energy plans across many parts of Texas, meaning it works in the service area of several different utility companies. Rhythm’s service area includes cities within:

Frequently asked questions about Texas energy plans

What is a fixed-rate plan?

A fixed-rate plan is one where you lock in your rate in a contract ranging from 12-36 months. Your rate doesn’t fluctuate with the market. All of Rhythm’s energy plans are fixed-rate plans.

Who do I call if there’s an outage?

Your local utility will still deliver your electricity and maintain the electric infrastructure. If there’s an outage, you should contact your utility company.

Why does Choose Energy run a credit check?

Most energy plans require a credit check to determine if a deposit is required. Customers may be required to pay a deposit based on their credit, but those with good credit may be eligible for a no-deposit plan.

What happens if I move?

If you move, you can bring your existing energy plan with you, assuming your current provider also does business in your new city. If your current provider doesn’t offer service where you’re moving to, you can use Choose Energy’s marketplace to shop around for a new provider. You can switch to a new provider without having to pay an early termination fee.

A few things to remember

As you’re shopping for energy plans, be sure to read each plan’s Electricity Facts Label (EFL) before signing up. It contains critical information such as your price per kilowatt-hour, the percentage of renewable energy in your plan, and whether you’ll be subject to early termination fees.

Once you sign up for your new plan, you can enjoy a hassle-free setup. Your new supplier will take care of everything, including coordinating with your utility company. You won’t experience an interruption to your power during the switch.

Make sure to familiarize yourself with your electricity bill. Even though your new supplier provides the energy that powers your home, your utility company still delivers the electricity and maintains the infrastructure. As a result, your bill will include TDU or TDSP charges that are separate from your supplier rate.
